Nolwenture have successfully started to attract customers from outside of Finland, from UK, continental Europe and Asia. These customers have used and are using Nolwenture for R&D software development and technical consulting where there has been a shortage of skills in their home markets. Nolwenture will seek further international expansion through increased geographic market penetration and entering new geographic markets. Ensure likelihood of success by increasing and improving staff numbers and partners, skills, efficient processes, and re-position to enter new vertical industry markets, develop new technology know-how and offerings and develop own IP for additional revenue streams. Export sales will account for 50% of sales by 2021.

Nolwenture with the support of Ely Keskus have fulfilled their planned project focus in preparation of international expansion, to increase and improve staff and process capability and capacity, enter new markets and develop own IP for new revenue streams. Structured under 6 work packages: Work package 1: Technology capabilities and partner network; Work package 2: Vertical Markets - research and positioning; Work package 3: International markets research and entry; Work package 4: Horizontal markets - research and positioning; Work package 5: Process and performance improvements; Work package 6: Develop and Monetize own IP. The technology choices we typically work with is open source, with micro-services in great demand, with a shortage of skilled developers in the global market. Particularly NodeJS, React, React Native. Our processes remain agile and have been enhanced with our developers having completed a scrum project management training. The industry verticals we have a proven track record with are: property, construction, smart city and circular economy, health, games and education, regulatory compliance and others, many utilising cloud based SaaS and Mobile apps. The geographic territories, of course Finland, with public reference clients in Joensuu, Kuopio, Helsinki and now of growing importance is Singapore, which is also a gateway to the rest of SE Asia. Whilst we have confidential clients and partners in other countries such as USA, UK and Germany and we have been active in the MENA region, such as Jordan in this project period. Many of the software applications we develop for our clients reach a global audience. Nolwenture are attracting better funded start ups, scales up and larger companies wanting an innovation partner. However we have also seen a shift on who the decision makers and influencers are within these organisations that we need to target. The tech-entrepreneurs we work with are becoming much better equipped and qualified, with greater domain expertise from their industry and often serial entrepreneurs. We have also seen a shift in larger organisations empowering their software team leaders to make business decisions where their senior management now appreciate that these team leaders are closer to the development task issues and are often better placed in selecting and hiring talent such as from Nolwenture to augment their teams and rapidly modernise to scale or to get a project back on track.
